Voice Agents

Create a spoken AI agent, share its link or QR code, and review a transcript of every conversation.

What it does

Voice Agents lets you create an AI agent that people can talk to out loud through a web link, and keeps a transcript of every conversation.

When to use it

Use it when you want someone to get answers by speaking rather than typing: a stand or event helper that visitors scan with their phone, a product or ordering guide for your sales team to open on the road, or a simple way to hear how customers ask about a range. Afterwards, read the transcripts to see what people actually asked for.

Steps

  1. Open AI Tools → Voice Agents.
  2. Select New Agent.
  3. Fill in Title, and optionally Description and Image URL.
  4. In Prompt, write the instructions the agent follows: who it is, what it helps with, the tone to use and anything it must not discuss.
  5. Select Create Voice Agent.
  6. On the agent page, use the Launch section to open, copy, share or scan the link.

What you'll see

The agent page opens on the agent you just created. Overview shows its image, the date it was Created and its Description. Launch holds the Voice agent URL, a QR code and the buttons to open and share it. Prompt shows the full instructions, and Recent sessions lists the ten most recent conversations.

The list at AI Tools → Voice Agents shows each agent with its image, Title and Description, newest first. Select a title to open the agent. Fifty agents are shown per page; use the page controls above and below the table for the rest. Before you create anything, the table reads No voice agents yet.

If something goes wrong

  • The link shows Page not found: the link was copied incompletely, or the agent has been deleted. Re-copy the link from Launch; if the agent itself is gone from AI Tools → Voice Agents, create a new agent and share the new link.
  • The person says nothing happens when they select Begin conversation: their browser blocked the microphone. They need to allow microphone access when the browser asks, then select Try again.
  • The badge reads Connection error or Not connected: the conversation could not start. Ask them to check their internet connection and select Try again.
  • The microphone tile reads Not capturing instead of Listening: the agent cannot hear them. Ask them to select Stop conversation, then Begin conversation again, and allow microphone access when the browser asks.
  • The agent's picture does not appear: the picture box is blank or broken. Check the Image URL opens the image on its own in a browser tab and is publicly reachable, with no sign-in. If you leave Image URL empty, the agent shows the first letter of its Title on a grey square instead.
  • You cannot select Create Voice Agent or Update Voice Agent: Prompt is empty, or it is too long. The counter under the box turns red and the message Prompt exceeds token limit. Please shorten the text. appears once the prompt passes about 4,000 words; shorten it and the button becomes available again.
  • Share is greyed out and reads Share unavailable: the browser you are using does not offer sharing. Use Copy and paste the link into an email or message instead.
  • The message We couldn't copy the link appears: select the text in Voice agent URL and copy it manually.
  • The sessions list reads No sessions yet: check that you opened the right agent. Sessions appear after someone has used that agent's link.
  • A session has been in progress for hours or days: the person closed the tab or lost their connection instead of selecting Stop conversation, so the conversation was never closed off. The transcript already recorded is complete; ignore the Duration on those rows.
  • No turns recorded: nothing was said, or the conversation ended before anyone spoke. Other sessions for the same agent are unaffected.

If an agent still will not connect after trying again, contact your onboarding manager.

Fields

FieldRequiredNotes
TitleYesUp to 120 characters. Shown in the list, on the agent page and at the top of the page people talk to.
DescriptionNoUp to 2,000 characters. Supports basic formatting. Shown under the title on the page people talk to.
Image URLNoA public web address for the agent's picture. Shown as a round avatar to the person using the agent.
PromptYesThe instructions the agent follows. Never shown to the person talking to the agent.

The agent's speaking voice is the same for every agent and cannot be changed in the admin panel. If you need a different voice or language, contact your onboarding manager.

Write the Prompt as if you were briefing a new colleague on their first day: what the agent is, the questions it should answer, the facts it may quote and the subjects to refuse. Anything it is not told, it does not know.

Sharing an agent

Everything in the Launch section points at the same public page:

  • Launch voice agent opens the agent in a new tab so you can try it yourself.
  • Copy puts the Voice agent URL on your clipboard, ready to paste into an email or message.
• Share passes the link to your device's own sharing options, where available.
  • The QR code beside them can be scanned to open the agent on a phone or tablet, and printed for a stand or counter.

Anyone with the link can talk to the agent; there is no sign-in. Treat the link as public and keep anything confidential out of the Prompt.

What the person using the agent sees

They land on a page with your agent's image, title and description, and a Session controls panel. They select Begin conversation, allow their browser to use the microphone, and start talking; no audio is captured before they give permission. The panel shows whether the agent is Connected and whether the microphone is Listening, and they end the call with Stop conversation. If the connection fails they can select Try again.

The page tells them the conversation is recorded and stored securely, and advises them not to share personal or confidential information. Say the same thing on any sign or email you use to hand out the link. See AI data security for how conversation data is handled.

Reviewing conversations

  1. Open AI Tools → Voice Agents and select an agent.
  2. Under Recent sessions, select a conversation, or select View all for the full history, which is also shown fifty sessions per page.
  3. In the list, each row shows Session started, Duration and Turns; a conversation is marked as in progress until it is ended properly, so one that was cut short stays marked that way. Select a row to open it.
  4. Session metadata shows Session started, Session ended, Duration and Turn count.
  5. Read the Conversation section for the full transcript, then use Back to sessions or Back to agent to return.

Times are shown in your company's time zone. A turn is one thing said by either side, so a short exchange produces several turns.

Editing and deleting

To change an agent, open it and select Edit, adjust the fields and select Update Voice Agent. Changes apply to the next conversation; the link stays the same, so there is nothing to re-share.

To remove an agent, select Delete on the agent or edit page and confirm in Delete voice agent?.

Deleting an agent stops its link working and closes off its pages in the admin panel, so its transcripts can no longer be opened — even though the confirmation message says historical data is kept. There is no undo. Read or copy anything you still need before deleting.
