Generate

Create promotional images from a written description and save the ones you like to your media library.

What it does

Generate creates three images from a description you type, so you can pick the best one and keep it.

When to use it

Use it when you need a promotional image and have nothing suitable to hand: a case deal poster, a trade offer graphic, or artwork for a campaign, advert or product tile. You can also attach your own photos or pack shots as a starting point so the result matches your products and branding.

Steps

  1. Open Media → Generate. You can also open Media → Gallery and select Generate image.
  2. Type what you want in the box marked Describe the image you want.... Be specific: product name, pack size, prices, and where the image will be used.
  3. Optional: select the image button to the left of the size menu (Attach images) and choose reference images, such as a pack shot or your logo.
  4. Choose a shape: 1024x1024 (square), 1536x1024 (landscape) or 1024x1536 (portrait). Square is used unless you change it.
  5. Choose a quality: Medium, High or Extra high. High is used unless you change it.
  6. Select the send button to start. Generation takes a while, so leave the page open until the images appear.
  7. When an image you like appears, select Save to add it to your media library, or Download to save a copy to your computer.

To try one of the ready-made examples, select Coca-Cola Case Deal, Walkers Multipack Offer or Beef Burger Catering above the prompt box. Selecting an example puts its wording in the box and starts generation straight away. To use your own products and prices, edit the wording it puts in the box and send again.

What you'll see

Before you generate anything the page shows three empty cards with Download and Save greyed out. They fill in one by one as each image finishes, so the first result is usable before the others arrive.

Each finished image has its own Download and Save buttons:

  • Download puts a copy in your browser's downloads and briefly shows Downloaded.
  • Save shows Saving... then Saved, and the image is added to Media → Gallery with an AI Generated label. Saved images can be used anywhere your library is available, and can be deleted from the gallery.

Attached reference images are listed above the prompt box under Attached images with a count of how many you have added. Remove one with the cross on its thumbnail. Attachments stay in place for your next generation until you remove them.

Generated images are only kept if you select Save or Download. Starting a new generation, leaving the page or reloading discards results you have not saved.

If something goes wrong

  • The send button is greyed out and nothing happens when you press Enter: the box is empty or contains only spaces. Type a description, then send again.
  • The send button shows a spinner and will not start another generation: the current three images are still being made. Wait for them to finish, then send again.
  • We couldn't generate images right now. Please try again. or Image generation failed. Please try again.: wait a moment and start the generation again. Check first whether any of the three images finished, and Save or Download those, because starting again clears them. If it keeps failing, contact your onboarding manager.
  • Image generation stream is unavailable. or Invalid image generation request: the request did not start. Shorten a very long description, then try again. If it keeps happening, contact your onboarding manager.
  • No image was returned for this slot.: one of the three did not finish. Use the results that did arrive, or run the generation again.
  • You can upload up to 16 images., Each image must be 10MB or smaller., Images must be PNG, JPG, or WebP. or Images cannot be empty.: the attachment was not added. Remove attachments you no longer need, or resize or convert the file, then attach it again.
  • We couldn't save this image. Please try again.: select Save again. Use Download to keep a copy in the meantime.
  • We couldn't download this image. Please try again.: check your browser is not blocking downloads, then select Download again.
  • The attach button does nothing: it is unavailable while images are generating, and once 16 attachments have been added.
  • Text runs off the edge or is misspelled: shorten the text you asked for, or generate again. Always read the prices and wording on an image before you publish it.

Writing a good prompt

  • Give the exact figures you want on the image: case price, retail price, POR, pack size and minimum order. Values you do not supply are left off rather than guessed, and wording you supply is copied as written, so check your own spelling and prices.
  • Say who the image is for and where it will appear, for example "for convenience stores" or "for depot shelves".
  • Keep the amount of text on the image small. Short lines stay legible when the image is viewed on a phone.
  • Attach a pack shot or logo when the product or branding must be recognisable.

Attachment limits

  • Up to 16 images per generation.
  • PNG, JPG or WebP only.
  • Maximum 10MB per image.
